I felt like a lucky girl last weekend when M surprised me with a trip. He told me to pack a bag but didn't tell me where we were going. I love surprises, so needless to say it took me about two seconds before I was packed up and ready to run out the door! I was so excited when we got to our desination! It was a winery! I have never been to an Arizona winery. For those who are local, I highly recommend Page Springs Winery. It's an amazing Arizona winery. I felt like I was somewhere in Telluride, CO; it was so cool. So, we hung out sipping on wine on literally the most perfect day I have ever experienced. The weather was gorgeous. After the winery we spent the night in our own cabin named Owl at the Briar Patch Inn. It was so cozy, and it was so nice to be unplugged. There was no internet, no TV, just a fabulous wood-burning fireplace. It was fun to see M gettin' all manly making a fire. I guess his Cub Scouts training paid off. And another plus was the most incredible hot apple cider I have ever tasted. It reminded me of being at my grandma's house. She used to always have hot apple cider for us. The next morning we took a gorgeous hike and headed back home. It was such an amazing trip. Sometimes the unexpected simple getaways are the best!
